INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer with comprehensive expertise across a range of Microsoft services, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and cloud technologies. This role involves supporting, managing, and optimising our infrastructure to ensure seamless operation, security, and reliability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Strong proficiency in administrating Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Infrastructure & Network Management: Advanced skills in managing on-premises infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and related networking components. Expertise in diagnosing and resolving network issues is essential.
  • Cybersecurity: Implement industry-standard cybersecurity practices to secure data, networks, and applications. Conduct regular vulnerability scans and assessments, and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Server Management: Proficient in installing, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Servers and Linux environments. Expertise in server builds, RAID configuration, hardware troubleshooting, and upgrades.
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM): Experience with MDM solutions (such as ManageEngine) for managing and securing mobile devices across the organisation.
  • Email Deliverability: Hands-on experience in monitoring and analysing email deliverability metrics. Capable of proactively identifying and addressing deliverability issues.
  • Public DNS & Email Authentication: Proficiency in configuring DNS and email authentication records, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.

  •         Continuous Improvement: Help identify areas for improvement in the infrastructure management process and assist in implementing more efficient workflows.


SKILLS AND QUALIFCATIONS

  • Strong Networking Skills: Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting SonicWall or other enterprise-grade firewalls, with strong network troubleshooting skills. Experience in a data centre environment is preferred.
  •          Strong Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to clearly and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms.
  •          Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable parts and a deep understanding of customer needs.
  •          Team Collaboration: Proven experience working effectively with development teams, product managers, and cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs and project goals.
  •          Certifications: Any relevant certification in Microsoft Servers, Azure Cloud, or network security is highly valued.

  •          9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday
  •          Role based in our Epsom office
  • The office is in the centre of Epsom, less than 5-minute walk from the main train station and close to local amenities
